About

We went through it. Then we wanted to move again — and we wanted to do it with people who understand.

Open Heart Track Club is for people who have had open heart surgery, and for those about to. That’s the whole membership. There’s no pace requirement, no training plan, no fee. There is one thing that gets you in, and it’s not something anyone would choose.

We meet at the track. Once a week. We walk, or we jog, or we run — whatever the body will give that morning. Some weeks that’s four laps. Some weeks it’s one, slowly, and that counts just the same. The track doesn’t care how fast you go. Neither do we.

The first chapter is forming in Issaquah, Washington. Chapter 001. If you’re somewhere else and you want one where you are, there can be. Every chapter is just a number, a track, and the people who show up.

That’s it. That’s the club.
